About
I'm Andrew, and I built StoreFix. It's one person, not an agency. If you write to the address at the bottom of this page, I'm who replies.
I built it because every free store audit I could find was a sales pitch with a number stapled to the front. You put in your address, you get told you scored 47, and the report is vague enough that the only way to find out what's actually wrong is to book a call. The number was never arithmetic. It was whatever made you nervous enough to reply.
So StoreFix works the opposite way round, and the rules aren't negotiable:
If I can't prove it, I don't report it
Every finding names the specific products and pages it came from, with links you can click and check. Nothing is asserted that you can't verify in ten seconds.
No AI decides your score
The score is a weighted sum with fixed numbers. Scan twice, get the same answer. I can show you the formula, and the whole thing is deliberately dull.
I tell you what I couldn't see
Some stores can't be read from outside. Those checks are listed as skipped and removed from the maths — they never quietly count as a pass, and they never pad your score in either direction.
The whole report is free, email or not
There's a button to skip the email box and read everything anyway. It's a real button.
What I want from you
Nothing, for the scan. It costs me a few seconds of a server and I'd rather you used it and told someone.
The part I do want: most of what the scanner finds is writing — product descriptions that are too thin to sell anything, meta descriptions that don't exist, image alt text nobody ever wrote. It's not hard work, it's just hours of it, which is exactly why it never gets done. I'll do that writing for you.
Right now I'm doing it free for the first few stores. Not as a trick to get you on a call — I'm new at this and I need before-and-afters I can show the next person. You get the work at no charge, I get to point at your score going up. If you'd rather I didn't mention your store, say so and you still get the work.
You see every line of new copy next to the old line before anything is published, and nothing changes on your store until you say go. I don't need access to your Shopify admin to write any of it.
If you got a link to your own report
Then I scanned your store before writing to you, which I know can feel odd. It only read pages that are already public — the same ones Google reads — and I didn't sign in to anything or touch a setting. The report is the actual output, not a mockup, and you can re-run it yourself at any time. If you'd rather your store not be scannable here at all, email me and I'll block it.
