Refunds

Last updated 19 September 2026.

Cancel whenever you like, in one click, without asking anyone. And if you have paid for a month you did not get value from, email within 30 days of the charge and you will get that charge back. You do not have to explain why, and nobody will try to talk you out of it.

Cancelling

Open your account page and press Manage billing or cancel. That opens Stripe's own billing page, where cancelling is a button. There is no form to fill, no email to send, and nobody will ring you to ask you to stay.

Cancelling stops the next charge. Your access keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for — you are not cut off the moment you click.

What cancelling does not do is send back money you have already paid. If you want the last charge returned as well, that is the section below, and it is worth reading before you assume one implies the other.

Getting a charge back — 30 days, no reason needed

Email andrew3333422@gmail.com within 30 days of a charge and say you want it refunded. You do not need a reason, and “I did not end up using it” is a complete one.

Write from the email address you paid with if you can, because that is what matches you to the payment. If you can't, send the access key from your account page instead, or the date and the last four digits of the card.

It covers the charge you are asking about, in full. If you were billed twice for the same month, or charged after cancelling, that is a mistake on our side and the 30 days do not apply to it — tell us whenever you notice.

How long it takes

We are not going to publish a number of hours here, because it would not be true. This is a small operation and refunds are issued by hand by one person, so it happens when that person reads the email — usually the same day, sometimes the next one. What you are being promised is the answer, not the speed.

Once it is issued, Stripe sends the money back to the card that paid, which is the only place it can go. Your bank then takes its own time to show it, commonly five to ten working days. That part is the bank's and we cannot hurry it.

If you have emailed and heard nothing for a few days, email again rather than assuming you were ignored — one inbox with one person reading it does occasionally lose something.

The scanner is free

Running a scan costs nothing and never has, so there is nothing to refund on it. This page is about the monthly plan, which is what you pay for in order to read what a scan found.

Work we do by hand

Done-for-you writing is agreed in writing, with a scope and a price, before anything starts. It is not a subscription and the 30 days above do not describe it.

If you have paid and we have not started, you get all of it back. If it has been delivered and you are unhappy with it, say so — we would rather rewrite it, and if you still do not want it, we will sort out what is fair rather than pointing at a clause.

Before you call your bank

You are always entitled to dispute a charge with your bank, and we will not fight one. But a dispute takes weeks and an email takes a day, so if the problem is that you want your money back, ask us first — asking costs you nothing, and the answer above is not conditional on anything.

Where this sits

This page is part of the terms, which cover the rest of how the plan works. Anything not answered here goes to andrew3333422@gmail.com.
