Which of your product pages can’t be bought?
When every option on a product sells out, the page stays up. It keeps its photo, its price, its reviews and its place in Google. The only thing that changes is that the button stops working — and nothing tells the shopper what to do next, so they leave.
Shopify’s admin has no screen that lists those pages. Filtering by inventory is a different set: a product can be at zero and still sell, and it can hold stock on a variant nobody can pick. Put your address in and you’ll get the actual list, with links, in a few seconds.
And if nothing on your store is sold out, you don’t get a shrug. It keeps going — every check we have, against your real pages — and tells you the most serious thing it did find.
Free, no signup. It reads your store’s own public product feed — the same one Google reads — and we store nothing about your store unless you ask us to watch it.
A store we made up, scored by the real scanner.
How this works, exactly
- It reads
/products.json, your store’s own public product feed — the same one Google and every price-comparison site reads. It needs no password and no app install, and it writes nothing anywhere. - It walks the whole catalogue, 250 products at a time, not the first page. Reading one page understated real stores by roughly ten times.
- A page is counted dead only when every variant reports itself unavailable. Open any link in the list and you’ll find a page you cannot buy from.
- If your feed is switched off or your store is password-protected, it says so. It will never tell you that you have no dead pages on the strength of a request that failed.
- If your robots.txt asks tools not to read that file, this stops and tells you. That is your call and we honour it.
